Bakers Coaches back the Scally Rally Team

SCALLY RALLY RACERS BACKED BY BAKERS COACHES

Two coach drivers from Bakers Coaches of Biddulph, Frank Bailey and Dave Sutton, supported by Dave's brother Steve, who is a garage mechanic, are revving up to drive to Norway in aid of the 'Help for Heroes' charity.

The trio are entering their third consecutive Scally Rally, in which this year's contestants attempt to drive a £100 car 2500 miles from Den Haag in Holland to Bodo, Norway. The 'Arctic Challenge' begins on Friday 7th August. The journey is expected to last five days, over which the 100 entrants will encounter some of the most demanding roads so far in the history of the Scally Rally.

"Besides having a great time, the ultimate purpose of the rally is to raise funds on behalf of injured servicemen," says Frank Bailey. "There is a £1000 prize at stake so in addition to sponsorship, we are hoping to boost our contribution by winning the rally!"

Bakers Coaches is supporting the trip by making a contribution towards the fuel costs of the rally team.
